This retains the NFC card reader and this solution uses a grippy silicone mat that pops out easily for cleaning (and yeah - your kitchen sink faucet works great). It adds Qi2 (magsafe-like) charging capabilities, occupying one USB-C port per puck to max out charging speeds. Gen 2 R1 vehicles have a wonky USB-C controller so after literal months and dozens of products tested, we could not find something that would reliably deliver more than 7.5W per puck, and very few that would enable both pucks to negotiate a reliably charge simultaneously - and those got complicated.

Your NFC card reader still works. You've got Qi2. You've got no visible "arts and crafts" bits. You've got a great solution for charging your vehicle that won't overheat your phone, and will definitely hold it in place.

We've tested this with two iPhone 16 Pro Maxes and as many big Android phones as we could get our hands on, and it worked perfectly across all of them, enabling a strong connection and keeping the phones solidly in place.
